Soul of a Rocky:
Coming Summer 2016
excerpt:
"Come here," the male voice from the street called up to them.
Krystiana looked at Nigel before nodding and taking the lead down the stairs.
Nigel never liked when she took point, but it was more likely that whatever the male gave
out, she would survive. Nigel more than likely would be nothing more than an
inconvenient casualty at the man's feet.
"I am Trent."
The black hooded cloak melted away from him and formed a long sleeve black
shirt that stretched lovingly over well-worked muscles, while dark-washed jeans and
black boots completed his outfit. She let her gaze trail slowly over the man, who was a
little more than six feet tall, and up into dual-natured eyes: yellow and green, the two
colors never blending. He stood under her scrutiny, a muscle in his jaw ticking with
obvious impatience, but she couldn't help but absorb him. He was massive in presence,
but normal—if anyone like him could actually be considered normal—in every other
way.
The man was beautiful. Soul searing, fall to your knees and praise the Almighty
kind of beautiful. It wasn't fair to other men. They would never compare and it was a
shame because if looks were all that mattered, this was the type you made children with.
He snorted. "I have a son. You can meet him one day."
Baffled, she sputtered a reply, finally managing to a simple,”What?”
"I'm married, but I have a son. If you're in the market for pretty children." He
shrugged. "I'm sure he would be pretty damn offended about the offer though."\
Kelsey Jordan is the author of The Lycan Hunter, the first book in her Gardinian World series. Though she has a preference for all things paranormal and romantic, Kelsey admits she just writes what her muse demands of her. It's less painful that way. When she isn't enjoying the momentary benefits of playing god to the many characters that live in her head, she can usually be found curled up with a book, killing something in a video game, or spending time with her family. At some point in the day she is probably drinking more than her recommended dose of coffee, but don't tell her that. She doesn't care about recommended servings.
As a Texas native and self-described Air Force brat, Kelsey now lives in Georgia with her husband and their tutu-wearing minion.
