Wow. I started this crazy ride quite a few years ago and it feels pretty damn good to be complete on this couple. RAW REBIRTH does live up to its crazy predecessor but in a more mature way. I spent my time doing mental double-takes, gasping, whispering WTF and feeling tied in knots with the tension. This is an angst-filled ride, but could you really expect anything else?
I walked into this story having a severe dislike for Twitch, sliced with old fond feelings. What I read in Julius’ story last year, only emphasised my position. Twitch had changed in many ways, believably so, but he was still solidly twisted too. I cannot believe where my favour and emotions came to over Tony ‘Twitch’ Falco, that man took me on a journey and made it memorable.
Lexi had had a rough five years. I grew to love her, I never loved her in RAW but in RAW REBIRTH she showed her strength of character, her tenacity, her fierceness and protective mama bear instincts. Lexi made this read for me, okay Lexi and AJ made it.
This book has a strong family feeling and I soaked up this unconventional family, mostly not blood-related. Julius and Ana remain favourites and I definitely want to know more about the Dave-Happy-Nikki situation. AJ was central to this family, Lexi had never been on her own in this.

Special kudos needs to be awarded to Belle Aurora for how she writes the nasty. I’m not big on dark romantic reads but she writes the tough stuff well and offsets it, pacing the difficult with the easier. She also wrote the vilest character in Ling, I had not missed that woman, and her mere presence on the page had me in knots. I felt myself coiled tight from 80%.
If you haven’t embarked on this series, you can have completion by reading the three together now, you lucky reader. However, I can tell you that RAW REBIRTH was worth the wait.
